Contact & Links Page -------------------------------- Contact Details
I can be contacted by sending email to:
Links If you would like to link your site to Eyebaths.com, please do get in touch. I
have listed below some links to sites that may be of interest to collectors of
old/antique glass/bottles etc. - including some that feature eyebaths. If any link is broken please let me know. ------------------------------------------------------ For the most extensive collection of resources, references, and information about all things to do with glass check out the Glass Museum, which has a series of in-depth articles about glass topics. It's at http://www.glass.co.nz/ The same person also runs the Glass Encyclopedia, a comprehensive source of information about glass, at http://www.encyclopedia.netnz.com/ (And when I say 'extensive' that does not do it justice - you could spend days following the hundreds of links here - all related to glass.) http://www.encyclopedia.netnz.com/cobaltglass.html is a new page all about cobalt glass ------------------------------------------------------
BBR is a great resource for collectors of bottles, pot-lids and related items - including occasional eyebaths. They can be found at http://www.onlinebbr.com/
------------------------------------------------------ For excellent modern, limited edition only, china eyebaths in a range of colours and patterns visit http://www.soozeramics.com/howto ------------------------------------------------------ Another great site for collectors can be found at The Virtual Eyewash Collection It is not fully finished yet but looks like it will be excellent - already some good stuff here. ------------------------------------------------------ The Canadian Museum of Civilization appears to have some ordinary clear glass North American examples in its collection at http://collections.ic.gc.ca/analogue/shelves/history/health/descrip/hdp0149.htm ------------------------------------------------------ The American Academy of Opthalmology has a section of its site called EyeCare America, http://www.eyecareamerica.org/ which includes links to its Museum of Vision. Among the items on display are:
http://www.eyecareamerica.org/eyecare/museum/collection/salve.cfm is a Pettit's Eye Salve Tin
http://www.eyecareamerica.org/eyecare/museum/collection/eyecup.cfm is a magnificent Spode porcelain example.
http://www.eyecareamerica.org/eyecare/museum/collection/eyecups.cfm is a set of reservoir eyebaths ------------------------------------------------------ Well there I was surfing away and what do I trip over but a set of lyrics to something called The Eyecup Song. The ultimate in irrelevant trivia, but diverting enough to be worth a click. Go on! ------------------------------------------------------ Ian and Grahame's Bottle Page at www.antique-bottles-and-glass.co.uk/ is a UK site with lots of old glass stuff including some eyebaths - go browse, but come back here soon!. ------------------------------------------------------ Howard donated all the pictures on More Eyebaths/Howard's Pages elsewhere on this site - here is his own site www.wheeloftime.nl/ - well worth checking out. ------------------------------------------------------ For bottles and all sorts of old glass type stuff - including some eyebaths - try Bottles & Bygones - The Virtual Bottle Shop by Mike Sheridan. ------------------------------------------------------ BottleDiggers is a self-explanatory site. Mostly old bottles and associated stuff - occasional eyebath in the for sale section. ----------------------------------------------------- Antique Bottle & Glass Collector Magazine is just what it says. A very good site - check out Dr Richard Cannon's "From The Medicine Chest" articles. ----------------------------------------------------- Cape May County Bottle Collectors is a good bottle site about bottles found in that part of New Jersey, USA. They have also been good enough to provide a link to eyebaths.com. ----------------------------------------------------- And don't forget Surrey Web Design who worked the technical magic to implement all the interactive stuff - database search, forums, membership/password protection. ----------------------------------------------------- The Little Rhody Bottle Club is another US bottle collectors club, where the picture of a Quaker Eye Water bottle was found (see bottom of OtherEyeRemedies page for link to picture) ----------------------------------------------------- http://www.eyeantiques.com is just exactly what it says - a site for those interested in a broad range of ophthalmic related antiques. Now has an excellent collection of other ophthalmic antiques links. ----------------------------------------------------- http://1st.glassman.com/lozengetranslator.html/ is a site for the glass collector, but this link takes you to a page all about English glass registration lozenge marks and tells you precisely what any of them mean - unfortunately I don't think I have ever seen an eyebath marked thus. Nonetheless, a very useful facility for those who collect other glass objects as well. http://1st.glassman.com/index.html is the home page from where there is a link to a very interesting page about vaseline / uranium glass. ----------------------------------------------------- If
you would like a link to your site to appear here just email me. Please let me know if there are any other eyebath related sites or pages you think should be here.
